Problem Solving With Blogging
There are several ways blogging could be used for problem solving in the class room. I could set up some problems for the kids to blog about, but i want blogging to be more about what they are thinking and feeling about that week. The way i would solve problems with blogging would be by reading each students blog to see what they learned that week. I could use this to solve the problem of why a student is not doing well in the class room. This would show me what a student needs more work with and what they do and don't get. This would help me to be a better teacher and not leave students behind who are not getting the lessons.

I like the idea of using a blog as a learning instrument of the students but also, as a learning tool for the teacher as well.
ReplyDeleteI think blogs could be an excellent way of analyzing why a student is struggling in a particular area. You might even be able to sit down with him/her and explain what it is they are having difficulty understanding. If the student can see what is wrong, it may be easier to learn the information correctly.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of using the blog to check up on students. It is a good way to make sure they are all understand the material and help those who aren't understanding all the material.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great way for you as a teacher to see what students are having problems with and if they need tutoring. This would also be a good way for you to see if you are doing a good job teaching.
ReplyDeleteI think it is good that even though you know that blogging can be used in many ways as a problem solving tool you also acknowledge that students need to be able to not just answer homework questions all the time. It is important that students also get some time to blog about what they are personally thinking about and feeling.
ReplyDeleteUsing the blog to help students work through solving problems is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteIts a good idea having your students type what they've learned. Parents would like that!
ReplyDeleteI think it would awesome idea for them to learn from others.
ReplyDeleteI like how you would go about finding out if a student is struggling in class or not by their blog posts. It's good that you want to have all your students at the same place after a lesson instead of moving some on while some are still left confused over certain topics.
ReplyDeleteI think that this would definitely be a great way to keep track of how well your students are learning!

ReplyDeleteI agree that blogging can help us as teachers to know where our kids are with their learning. It is also a great way to talk and communicate with that child outside of the four walls.
